THE MOST PRACTICAL DIGITAL SCANNER FOR ANY LAB

OPTIMAL LOCAL OR REMOTE IMAGING FOR PATHOLOGY LABORATORIES

Is it your business to serve clinics and hospitals with diagnostics services? Then like most others, you probably wish you could spend less time and money on getting histology and cytology samples diagnosed. Maybe your ROSE isn’t as rapid as it could be? Many onsite teams struggle with the lengthy process of scanning WSI slides, or they even send the actual sample slides to the pathologist. Physical slides aren’t always where they should be.

You know digital pathology is the answer, but the scanners are very expensive and won’t necessarily fit your laboratory information system. You want to find a way to serve your customers better, provide the patients with faster care and make the process easier for everyone, while saving money.

There’s a solution, and it’s as clever as it is precise, compact, easy to use, and affordable.

FIMLAB: REMOTE FROZEN SECTION IN PRACTICE

Fimlab is one of the leading laboratory service providers in Finland. Serving an area with 1.3 million people Fimlab runs over 15 million diagnostic tests per year in their 120 locations. Fimlab also operates in central hospital pathology laboratories without a dedicated on-site pathologist.

To maximize the time the pathologist spends on what they’re indispensable at, diagnosing, Fimlab has successfully piloted a digital frozen section process operated by laboratory technicians. The digital method practically does away with unnecessary logistics of people and/or slides. It especially eliminates the need for follow-up surgeries, saving time and money, and most importantly relieving the patient of stressful wait.
