Discontinuation Notice for First-Generation Ocus Devices

Yellow divider

We are officially discontinuing the first-generation Ocus® scanners (MGU-00001). While these devices have served many laboratories well, they are now reaching the end of their serviceable life.

April 2, 2025

As of April 7th 2025, support for first-generation Ocus® MGU-00001 units will be limited. If issues arise, our team will evaluate them on a case-by-case basis, but repair may not always be possible.

We thank our MGU-00001 customer for choosing Grundium, and we are happy to support them in upgrading their devices to a newer Ocus® 20 model. The Ocus® 20 brings a fully automatic scanning experience and improvements in performance, usability, and workflow integration. Trade-in discounts are available based on the age of your current device.

Additionally, we want to highlight that these older devices no longer receive software updates, including important security patches. We recommend that customers assess the potential cybersecurity risks of continuing to use such systems in active networks or clinical environments.

We encourage affected customers to contact our Customer Support for more information.

Thank you for choosing Grundium!
